Licenciado en Historia del Arte, Facultad de Artes y Letras, Universidad de La Habana, Cuba.

Durante su estancia en la Escuela Vocacional Lenin, fue un miembro activo del Taller de Artes Plásticas, participando varios certámenes como el Festival Provincial de Artes Plásticas de La FEEM y en el Salón de Artes Plásticas de Aficionados de la FEEM, obteniendo diversos premios en estos eventos. También publica caricaturas e ilustraciones en los periódicos Juventud de Acero y  Chispa, que se editaban en la Escuela.
